Environment

Aware of our responsibility

Protection of the environment and the conservation of resources are integral components of our corporate philosophy. It is also the basis for the actions of every Zapp worker. It is the source of the environmental ideals which describe our understanding of environmental protection, and where we derive our obligation to work pro-actively towards a continuous improvement in environmental protection.

"We assume our social responsibility and commit ourselves to the protection of the environment."

The distinguishing features of Zapp’s worldwide protection of the environment are its globally enforced environmental policy and its international guidelines for environmental standards. In its aspiration towards integrated and comprehensive protection of the environment, Zapp endeavors, through advice and information, to involve its suppliers and customers in its efforts.

For us, a lasting and sustainable development in environmental protection means the economical use of natural resources, consequently we think about the possible consequences for our environment right from the development stage of our products and processes. It is our aim, over and above the applicable regulations, to avoid pollution of the environment or to reduce it to a minimum.

Protection of the environment is a sustainable, systematic and long-term operation. The first priority here is the minimization of environmental deficits in all our existing and future activities and the economical utilization of resources. Renewable raw materials are preferred.
