Zapp Precision Strip is a premium supplier of longitudinally welded bimetal strip, primarily for the band saw industry.
Our product range covers the standard band saw industry dimensions of 19 – 80 mm.

Using laser or electron beam welding, we permanently attach high-speed steel (HSS) edges to backing strips (low-alloy grade tempered steel).
Zapp bimetal production focuses on industrial high-performance band saws especially designed for highly demanding cutting tasks. As a result, production consists almost exclusively of the following combinations:

• Carrier strip with 3% Cr, 4% Cr, oder D6A
• In HSS M42, HSS M51 or HSS PM grades
